The Cyberlabs Gaming Box is a pitch facing purpose built space at The Valley for up to ten guests at any one time.
Made for the most casual to the most competitive gaming and football fans, and designed to feel like a comfortable lounge at the the home of Charlton Athletic FC.
We have PS5s, two UNEVN desks with PCs & Monitors in-built for gaming or streaming (with Corsair peripherals), a Nintendo Switch, a PSVR2, a BenQ x3000i 4K projector, sofas and plenty of seating (thanks X Rocker!).
Did we mention the fully stocked Jimmy’s Iced Coffee fridge too?

This is a memorable, unique experience combining two favoured hobbies of so many people; gaming and football. The experience is adaptable, and for all ages, but in short this will give guests (up to 10x persons) access to the Cyberlabs Gaming Box ~3 hours ahead of kick off on a matchday, and for one hour after. Inside the box guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the PS5 consoles (3x), try out some VR with the PSVR2, and/or enjoy the UNEVN Base PC Gaming Desks. We’re pretty sure the BenQ Projector with The Valley as a backdrop behind will be something Charlton (and football fans generally) won’t forget. If you want a more curated gaming or esports experience (tournament anyone?) that can be arranged, or if you prefer a more casual environment to enjoy at your leisure, that’s okay too. Consider the Cyberlabs Gaming Box your lounge for the day. Food and drinks can of course be added on too and booked ahead of time. Once it’s time for the football, you’ll have 10x tickets with padded seats just outside the box, and you can come in and out as you please.

In a word, yes! Whilst we are well aware we would say this, there’s no need to take our word for it; the IOC is fully embracing esports, both esports and gaming are in full swing across education, and you can take a look at these studies showing the benefits of gaming for health. Check out the Esports Research Network too if you want some more academic reading. It’s important that it is in moderation of course, but it is also our position that by combining sports and gaming there are some potentially hugely positive outcomes for both worlds, and moreover that by bringing gaming and esports into shared, safe, physical spaces, this can be a hugely valuable asset to the local community.
